3. Plan the positioning of the leaves and the front saying.
When you are pleased, attach down the items using tape/glue and pop dots.
4. The sample show did not have the leaves on the sayings colored
in, but a light colored pencil work would be effective.
5. I guess it is quite simple, but it is very fun!

Hi Everyone! We have a bonus project set for you
this month. We started with the idea of the velvet wreath with the
larger hollies. But, we felt it would be too big and too heavy for a
card. However, it would be adorable on a photocrafted page with the
picture in the middle, placed on a decorative pillow for a fun holiday
accessory, or placed on an apron for a special holiday dinner. Also,
we know you have big imaginations, so let us know what fun projects you
come up with for the large hollies and gingerbread folks!
Instructions for the card:
1. Detail trim hollies.
2. Design your wreath on the white cardstock. We actually do
not have the hollies completely attached to the card. Often times,
during designing, I just use enough tape to hold an image
temporarily. When the arrangement is complete, I will finish
attaching at that time. This time, however, I like the tips of the
hollies not completely attached. You cannot tell in the picture, but
it gives some dimension to the wreath.
3. When you like your design and your hollies are attached as you
wish, detail trim around the wreath leaving just a thin border.
4. Tape or glue the decorative paper to the main card.
5. Tape or glue the white panel with the wreath onto the main card.
6. Complete the inside of the card.
7. Using dries clear adhesive, glue the rhinestones onto the main
card.
8. Using glitter glue, add some sparkle to the leaves and the
corners of the card. Allow all to dry.
9. We will have another Christmas project to you soon!

COTM065 Elegant Trees 2010
Stamps by: Trees by Heartlooms, Sayings by
Stampendous!, Stampa Rosa, and The Stamp Pad
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue
Pop Dots
Dries Clear Adhesive
|
|
Instructions:
1. Place all trees on support cardstock and detail
trim. The white trees are going to be flat. However, if we did not put
the white velvet onto support stock, the gingham would show through.
2. Decide on the lengths of your garland pieces and cut. Using
the dries clear adhesive, glue the garlands onto the green tree and allow to
dry. You may need to hold or use clothespins at first.
3. Layer on all the paper and stock panels.
4. Complete the inside of the card.
5. Tape or glue the white trees flat onto the card.
6. Using pop dots, attach the green tree to the main card.
Remember that pop dots will not stick to the velvet, so you want to place
the pop dots onto the card (in-between the white trees--I cut them in half
to fit) and then at the very top of the green tree. Attach to the
card.
6. Using dries clear adhesive, glue the snowflakes to the white trees.
7. Place the saying on the front panel.
8. I apologize for this being a bit down to the wire for Christmas
this year. The idea came to me in November, but I could not get it to
work out as I had imagined. I actually had given up on this idea and
was cleaning it up to start something different. As I moved the
components this way and that way during clean-up, it fell together in the
manner that you see it. Immediately, I knew that fate had figured out
my card design for me! That happens many, many times. Because it
is a bit late, I did include "Thank You" and "Thinking of
You" sayings that could be used after Christmas. Or, you could
get a head start for next year!
9. Have a very, very Merry Christmas everyone!

COTM066 Snowman Couple
Image stamps by Heartlooms; Sayings by Stampendous!,
DeNami, Embossing Arts, Azadi Earles, and Heartlooms
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue
Dries clear adhesive
Orange colored pencil
Measurements:
Main card: 6 x 12
Folds to: 6 x 6
Decorative panel: 5 3/4 x 5 3/4
|
|
Instructions:
1. Detail trim the snow people, vests, and hats.
The example card does not have any image pop dotted, so the velvet images
are not on support cardstock. If you would like to pop dot the hats,
place on support stock before you detail trim.
2. Color the snow people's noses.
3. Arrange the scarves around the necks. Secure with tape to the
back of the snow people.
4. Layer on the decorative papers.
5. Complete the inside of the card.
6. Using double stick tape, position the snow couple onto the
card. Place vests onto the snow couple. ***You will need to
watch the positioning for these places: 1) low enough on the
neck; 2) not covering up the heart; 3) **how the vests fit
together in-between the snow couple. It sounds like you are watching
for a lot, but it really is not that difficult. You just need to watch
a bit!
7. Position the hats onto the couple.
8. Using dries clear adhesive, glue on the hearts and snowflakes and
allow to dry.
9. I was going to re-scan the card with the Mrs.' scarf covering her
face so much. However, at the time all of the recipients of the first
mailing receive this kit, we are all going to be walking around with our
scarves covering as much as our faces as possible! Brrrrr..........stay
warm!

|
|

is for saying layering.
3. Place kitties onto the main card. Our kitties are flat, but
you could pop dot if you prefer.
4. Using the super cool new Peel'n'Stick Glitter Rick-Rack, accent the
corners of the card. We placed it onto the corners and then cut it off
from the main card.
5. Using the super cool new Peel'n'Stick Rhinestones, attach the
kitties' "collars". Using the one larger heart of each
color, accent the "collars". Also, place on the kitties'
noses.
6. This card does not have a lot of instructions, it just is showing
new products on the market. The rick-rack was purchased at Hobby Lobby
(Ooops! I did not keep the package. I will let you know the
manufacturer at a later date). The rhinestone strands are called
Crystal Stickers and marketed by Mark Richards USA. We purchased them
(on clearance!!) at Michael's.
