use. We are sending enough for eight sections. If
you choose to use less than eight candles, simply trim off the panels.
2. Using double stick tape or an adhesive for paper, layer the
candle/decorative papers sections onto the main card.
3. Using double stick tape or an adhesive for paper, layer the
decorative papers onto the cardstock for the back of the card
panels. Then, layer the cardstock/decorative panel onto the main
card.
4. Using double stick tape or an adhesive for paper, layer on your sayings.
5. This card is a nice easy introduction to working with
velvet. We hope you enjoyed!!

We have several new people joining us with this Creative
Express project. The instructions will be more detailed than usually
for our new participants.
Also, new participants, you may wish to read Velvet Embossing
Instructions before you begin this project. Please email or call
with any questions you may have. mailto:create@heartlooms.com
or (952) 946-8994.
Instructions
1. Place images onto
support cardstock and detail trim. To open the backing on the
Peel'n'Stick, score the back very lightly with a dull scissors. When
you are detail trimming, you want to stay 1/16-1/8 of an inch away from
the outside lines of your images. If you cut too closely, it takes
away from the dimensions of the velvet.
2. Layer decorative paper panel onto the main card.
3. Place the (center) tree with 1/16 inch pop dots onto the card. Use the
1/8
inch pop dots on one tree and attached to the main card. Use the 1/4
inch pop dots onto the other tree and attach to the main card.
Remember that pop dots will not stick to velvet, so be sure to pay
attention to your placement. As you get the overlapping section of
the trees, you may wish to put the pop dots onto the main card and then
place your images onto the pop dots.
5. Complete the inside of the card. Remember to layer on the
inside as well as the outside. And, a layered signature card really
completes the whole look.
6. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue the rhinestones
onto the trees. Allow to dry.
7. As we mentioned earlier, this card is way more gorgeous in person
than it is on the scanned picture.
8. Have a Happy Holiday Season!!

Instructions
We have a couple new people joining us with this project.
The instructions will be more detailed than usually for our new participants.
Also, new participants, you may wish to read Velvet
Embossing Instructions before you begin this project. Please email or
call with any questions you may have. mailto:create@heartlooms.com
or (952) 946-8994.
1. Place dog image onto the support cardstock (red matte
piece included) and detail trim. To open the backing on the Peel'n'Stick,
lightly score with a dull scissors. This will allow you to begin peeling
the backing off. Remember NOT to cut too closely when you are doing your
detail trimming. You will want to stay 1/16-1/8 inch out from the edge of
the image. If you cut too closely to the edge, you will lose some of the
wonderful dimension we get from velvet embossing!!
2. Layer the decorative paper onto the main card.
3. Place the ribbons together and "tie" around the dog's tail.
Place a piece of regular scotch tape on the back to secure the ribbon.
Leave excess ribbon on both the top and the bottom. As you place your
"balloons", you can snip off the excess ribbon.
5. Place pop dots on the dog and position onto the main card.
6. Start placing your balloons. ***At first, I thought we
would pop dot the balloons. However, I opted to just glue mine on.
You can decide if you want to be flat or pop dot. Either way, position the
numbers onto the main card with the ribbon attached underneath. You do
need to snip off the excess ribbon before you completely place down the whole
number.
7. Complete the inside of the card. Layer the decorative paper and
cardstock pieces. One idea is shown above. We wanted to have a nice
chunk of both red and the decorative showing. The saying angled as it is
left a nice space for your signature card.
8. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue on the bow and allow to dry.
9. We also have "Wags and Wishes" for you all to have a Happy
New Year!!

COTM004 Kissing Couple 2006
Stamps by: Bears by Azadi; Hearts and "Bubble
Over" by Darcies; Happy Valentine's Day by Penny Black; Be Mine by
Rubbernecker.
Supplies Needed:
Double stick tape or glue
Dries clear adhesive
Pop Dots; 1/8 inch
Black Marker
Measurements:
Main card: 6 1/2 x 11
Folds to 5 1/2 x 6 1/2
Decorative Panels: 5 1/4 x 6 1/4
Instructions:
1. Both bears will go on white cardstock for color support.
Detail trim.
2. Detail trim the inside hearts--not on cardstock.
3. Detail trim the hat. Using the black marker, do some detailing
to give it some shape. We outlined the entire hat, filled in the
"band", and the shadow of the opening. We also sponged some
black on it.
4. Layer the decorative panel onto the main card.
5. Complete the inside of the card except for the velvet hearts.
6. Position the bears onto the main card. It does take a bit of
positioning to have them kiss. We overlapped one set of
"lips" over the other just a little tad for added effect. Ours
are on the card flat, but if you want to pop dot, knock yourself out!!
7. Pop dot on Mr. Bear's hat.
8. The inside velvet hearts are on flat as well.
9. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue on the bow, rhinestone, and the
rose button. Allow everything to dry.
10. Happy Valentine's Day!!

Earles.
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue
Dries clear adhesive
Pop Dots 1/8 inch
Measurements:
Main card: 9 x 12
Folds to: 6 x 9
White panel: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Gingham panel: 5 1/4 x 8 1/4

1. Place Bear and hat onto support stock and detail
trim. ****The shamrock on the hat is NOT on support stock. (The
support stock is the mint green piece included).
2. Layer on the panels.
3. Complete the inside of the card. There is a nice piece of white
cardstock left over on the same sheet with the Irish Blessing saying.
This will be a great piece for your signature card. Wait with the velvet
shamrock that is for the inside. That you will attach later.
4. Using pop dots, attach the bear to the main card.
5. Using pop dots, attach the hat to the main card. ***Remember
that the pop dots will not stick to velvet. Sometimes, it is easier to
put the pop dots onto the card and then place the image onto the pop
dots. You can also sneak under and add pop dot pieces where needed.
6. Now, place the velvet shamrock inside the card.
7. Using the dries clear glue, put a "blob" onto the hat.
Place the feathers into the glue.
8. Place the velvet shamrock on top of the hard, plastic part of the
feathers.
9. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue on the gold shamrock and the
rhinestone shamrock.
10. Top 'o the morning to you!! Have a great March and a great St.
Patrick's Day!!
