Instructions
We have a couple new people joining us with this Creative
Express project. The instructions will be more detailed than usually
for our new participants.
Also, new participants, you may wish to read Velvet
Embossing Instructions before you begin this project. Please
email or call with any questions you may have. mailto:create@heartlooms.com
or (952) 946-8994.
1. Place dog image onto the support cardstock (red
matte piece included) and detail trim. To open the backing on the
Peel'n'Stick, lightly score with a dull scissors. This will allow
you to begin peeling the backing off. Remember NOT to cut too
closely when you are doing your detail trimming. You will want to
stay 1/16-1/8 inch out from the edge of the image. If you cut too
closely to the edge, you will lose some of the wonderful dimension we get
from velvet embossing!!
2. Layer the decorative paper onto the main card.
3. Punch out the die cut number "balloons" (see what fun
project you come up with for the remaining square with the number out...)
4. Place the ribbons together and "tie" around the dogs
tail. Place a piece of regular scotch tape on the back to secure the
ribbon. Leave excess ribbon on both the top and the bottom. As
you place your "balloons", you can snip off the excess ribbon.
5. Place pop dots on the dog and position onto the main card.
6. Start placing your balloons. The material is sticky-backed
foam. Peel off the back and position onto the main card with the
ribbon attached underneath. You do need to snip off the excess
ribbon before you completely place down the whole number.
7. Complete the inside of the card. Layer the decorative paper and
cardstock pieces. One idea is shown above. We wanted to have a
nice chunk of both red and the decorative showing. The saying angled
as it is left a nice space for your signature card.
8. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue on the bow and allow to dry.
9. We also have "Wags and Wishes" for you all to have a
Happy New Year!! |

CEX154 Snow Bear Card
Stamps by: Bear by Impressive Stamps; Hat by
Heartlooms
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue (layering)
Dries clear adhesive (gluing embellishments)
Pop Dots: 1/16 and 1/8 inch
Measurements:
Main card: 8 1/2 x 11
Folds to: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
White Layer: 5 1/4 x 8 1/4
Decorative Layer: 5 x 8
|
|
Instructions:
1. Place velvet images onto the support stock and
detail trim. ***See note on above instructions for information about
trimming.***
2. Layer on the cardstock and decorative paper.
3. Complete the inside of the card. There is a signature card
included. We included two sayings in case you don't use this card
until later in the year.
4. Using the 1/16 inch pop dots, position the bear onto the main
card.
5. Using the 1/8 inch pop dots, position the hat onto the
bear. ***Remember that pop dots will not stick to velvet. Your
placement of the pop dots on the hat is more toward the top of the hat.
6. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue the bow onto the bear.
Because of the sheerness of the ribbon, you will need to hold the bow in
place for a couple of minutes. Glue the snowflakes onto the
hat. Allow to dry.

CEX155 Bunny Slipper Get Well
Stamps by: Robe and Bunny Slippers by Stampendous!;
Get Well Soon by Darcies; Other sayings are computer generated.
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue (for layering)
Dries clear adhesive (for gluing bow)
Pop Dots: 1/8 inch
Measurements:
Main Card: 6 3/4 x 9 1/2
Folds to: 4 3/4 x 6 3/4
White Panel: 4 1/2 x 6 1/2
Bunny Slipper Panel: 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 |
|
Instructions:
1. Place robe onto support stock and detail
trim.
2. Layer the white and decorative panel onto the main card.
3. Position on the "Get Well Soon".
4. Using the pop dots, position the robe onto the main card.
5. Complete the inside of the card. I spaced out the sayings
in case you would want to use just one or the other instead of the two
together. There is a signature card. This card being smaller
than the previous cards left little room for inside layering. But, I
did stamp a set of slippers for visual interest.
6. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue on the bow and allow to dry.
7. It would be worth being sick to receive this card from a
friend!! However, everyone, please stay healthy!! |
