January 2002 Creative Express Projects

I am sorry I am so late getting this project on-line!!  Organization often times gets the better of me!!

CE 13  Candle Birthday

Stamps by:  Candle by Darcies;  Thinking of You and Bless and Keep You (inside) by Stampendous!;  Happy Birthday by Hero Arts

Supplies you will need:

double-stick tape or glue
dries clear adhesive
Pop Dots  1/8 and 1/16 inch
Decorative Corner Scissors

Instructions:

1.  The candles are all going to go onto cardstock for support.  You may put the candles on the cardstock first and trim both layers at one time.   If you have limited strength in your cutting hand, you may wish to trim each layer separately.
2.  Using the dries clear adhesive, glue the rhinestones onto the candles (the upside down heart is simply amazing for a flame!!!).  Allow to dry.
3.  Cut and layer the cardstock pieces.   Cut and layer all the sayings.
4.  Using the two different sizes of pop dots (as well as flat onto the card), layer the candles onto the card.  Layer the outside and inside sayings to the card.
5.  There is an extra candle included with this project kit.  You can layer it inside next to a saying!!!
6.  I guess that's it already!!  Funny, it did not seem thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat easy when we were doing it!!!

CE14  Pedra the Valentine Penguin

Stamps by:  Penguin by Darcies;  Hugs by Hero Arts;  Happy Valentines Day by Azadi

Supplies needed:

double-stick tape or glue
dries clear adhesive
markers
Pop Dots  1/16 and 1/8

Instructions

1.  Trim out the "inside" of the penguin.
2.  Remove the Peel'n'Stick from just the feet of the penguin (this will make it easier for proper placement).  Line-up the feet portion onto the feet on the cardstock (it does not have to be perfect).
3.  Peel the Peel'n'Stick off of one side of the penguin and attach to the cardstock.  Repeat with the other side.
4.  Detail trim the penguin.
5.  Color the checks and the beak.
6. Attach the hat to the cardstock and detail trim.
7.  Place a square of Peel'n'Stick (sorry, I didn't think about including it along with the kit) on the back of the hat--center section.  Position the feathers onto the Peel'n'Stick.
8.  Place the Pop Dots 1/8 to the outer sides of the hat--that will be enough support since the hat will be over the penguin which also has Pop Dots.
9.  Layer the cardstock and paper onto the main card.  Attach the "Hugs".
10.  Complete the inside of the card.
11.  Using the 1/16 inch Pop Dots, attach "Pedra" to the card.  Position and attach the hat appropriately.
12.  Glue on all the extras and allow to dry.

CE15  Valentine Gumball Machine

CE 15  Valentine Gumball Machine

Supplies needed:

double-stick tape or glue
dries clear adhesive
colored pencils
Pop Dots  1/8 inch

Instructions:

1.  Detail trim the velvet gumball machine pieces.  The pieces are going to be positioned on the white cardstock as it is stamped.   The images need to be placed before you trim too much off of the cardstock so that your velvet pieces and the cardstock are evenly trimmed.  ****DO NOT trim out the white globe part.
2.  Using colored pencils, color the candy hearts on the outside and inside layers.  (And the envelope).
3.  Layer paper and cardstock onto the main card--outside and inside.
4.  Complete the inside of the card.
5.  Using the Pop Dots, attach the gumball machine to the main card.
6.  Fold over the top and bottom edges of the candy bag.  Using double-stick tape, you can tape the "flaps" down and tape the bag to the card with the same piece of tape.
7.  Using the dries clear, glue on the roses and allow to dry.
8.  If you haven't eaten the extra bag of candy as you completed the card, eat it now!!!

CE 16  Hanging Hearts Card & the Red Bouquet Card

CE16 Hanging Hearts Card and
Red Bouquet Card

Stamps by:  Hanging Hearts by Sonlite;   Flower Bouquet by Azadi/Limited Edition;  Sayings by Sonlite, The Stamp Pad.

Supplies needed:

double-stick tape or glue
Pop Dots 1/8 inch
dries clear adhesive

Instructions
Pink Hanging Hearts Card

1.  Detail trim velvet image.  It needs to go onto cardstock for support.  You may place the velvet piece onto the cardstock first and trim both layers at one time.  If you have limited strength in your cutting hand you may wish to do each layer separately.
2.   Layer the decorative paper onto the card.
3.  Complete the inside of the card.
4.  Using the Pop Dots, attach the heart image onto the card.
5.  Using the dries clear adhesive, attach the little flowers to the card.  Then, place the adhesive to the inside of the flowers and place in the rhinestones.  Allow to dry.
6.  Complete the envelope.  Way easy but very elegant!!

Red Bouquet Card

1.  Detail trim the velvet image.  ***It is going to be on cardstock, but this time we have left a border with the white cardstock, so each layer needs to be trimmed separately.
2.  Place the velvet piece to the white cardstock.  Trim around the image leaving a bit of a border with the white cardstock.
3.  Punch the holes around the white cardstock layer.  You need to have an even number of holes for the ribbon lacing to work out.
4.  Lace the ribbon through the card.  Start by placing the ribbon down into the first hole.
5.  Place the charm onto one of the ribbon sections.  Slide the charm up as far as it will go and tie a bow.
6.  Layer the cardstock and paper onto the main card.
7.  Complete the inside of the card.
8.  Using the Pop Dots, attach the bouquet image to the card.
9.  Using the dries clear adhesive, attach the rhinestones to the bouquet.  Allow to dry.
10.  Complete the envelope.   Again, way easy but very elegant!!

CE17  Heart Kitty/Couch Card

Stamps by:  Heart Kitty by Eureka!;  Couch by Darcies;  Plump Heart by Rubber Stampede;  Thin Heart by Hero Arts

Supplies needed:

double-stick tape or glue
Pop Dots  1/8 inch

Instructions

1.  Detail trim the couch and the kitty.  Both images are going to be on cardstock, so you could place the images onto the cardstock first and trim both layers together.
2.  Detail trim the pillows.  The pillows are not going to be on cardstock.
3.  Layer the papers and cardstock onto the main card (both outside and inside).
4.  Using double stick tape, attach the couch to the card.
5.  Using Pop Dots, attach the kitty to the card remembering that Pop Dots do not stick to velvet.  Meaning be somewhat cautious as to the placement of the dots so they do not end up on the couch.
6.  Attach the pillows to the couch just by removing the Peel'n'Stick and placing them.
7.  Gee--I guess that card was extremely easy too!!   But soooo cute!!
