CEX147 Cornucopia Card
Stamps by: All stamps including sayings by Darcies.
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue (for layering)
Pop Dots: 1/16 and 1/8 inch
Colored Pencils
Measurements:
Main Card: 7 x 10
Folded: 5 x 7
Decorative Panel: 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 |
|
Instructions:
*****Very important***** When detail
trimming the cornucopia, be sure NOT to cut out the "inside
section" of the cornucopia that does not have fruits or flowers in
the area. The image looks "wrong" if that section is cut
away. (Learn from my experience!!).
1. Place cornucopia image onto the support stock and
detail trim. Remember the note from above.
2. Detail trim the paper "filler" section and the
individual pumpkin. **On the filler section, I trimmed in some by
the flowers that will nestle into the cornucopia edge.
3. Color the paper images.
4. Layer the decorative paper onto the main card (inside and out).
5. Layer the inside sayings.
6. ***Nestle the paper filler into the cornucopia and double stick
tape them together.
7. Use the 1/16 inch pop dots on the cornucopia. Use the 1/8
pop dots on the filler section. Attach the entire image section to
the main card.
8. Use 1/8 inch pop dots to attach the pumpkin. ***Pop dots
will not stick to velvet. So attach the pop dot to the paper filler
section (on top of the apple). Then, attach the pumpkin to the pop
dot.
9. ***I ran out of time before needing to get this card on screen.
But, some highlights with glitter or glitter glue on the paper filler
images would be quite striking.
10. Thanksgiving Blessings to All!!

We have several new people joining us with this Creative
Express project. The instructions will be more detailed than usually
for our new participants.
Also, new participants, you may wish to read Velvet Embossing
Instructions before you begin this project. Please email or call
with any questions you may have. mailto:create@heartlooms.com
or (952) 946-8994.
Instructions
1. Place images onto
support cardstock and detail trim. To open the backing on the
Peel'n'Stick, score the back very lightly with a dull scissors. When
you are detail trimming, you want to stay 1/16-1/8 of an inch away from
the outside lines of your images. If you cut too closely, it takes
away from the dimensions of the velvet.
2. Layer decorative paper panel onto the main card.
3. Place the (center) tree with 1/16 inch pop dots onto the card. Use the
1/8
inch pop dots on one tree and attached to the main card. Use the 1/4
inch pop dots onto the other tree and attach to the main card.
Remember that pop dots will not stick to velvet, so be sure to pay
attention to your placement. As you get the overlapping section of
the trees, you may wish to put the pop dots onto the main card and then
place your images onto the pop dots.
5. Complete the inside of the card. Remember to layer on the
inside as well as the outside. And, a layered signature card really
completes the whole look.
6. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue the rhinestones
onto the trees. Allow to dry.
7. As we mentioned earlier, this card is way more gorgeous in person
than it is on the scanned picture.
8. Have a Happy Holiday Season!!

Instructions:
1. Place chair image onto the support cardstock (red
matte piece included) and
detail trim. To open the backing on the Peel'n'Stick, lightly score
with a dull scissors. This will allow you to begin peeling the
backing off. Remember NOT to cut too closely when you are doing your
detail trimming. You will want to stay 1/16-1/8 inch out from the
edge of the image. If you cut too closely to the edge, you will lose
some of the wonderful dimension we get from velvet embossing!!
2. Layer decorative paper panel to the main card.
3. Complete the inside of the card. Remember to layer inside
just as much as the outside. Especially with velvet, we find that
layering "more than normal" inside gives a nice balance to the
card. Included you will also find layering papers for a signature
card.
4. Using pop dots, place your chair onto the main card.
5. Trim to fit, then layer your "Kick Up Your Heels" onto
the main card.
6. Using dries clear adhesive, glue the "pillows" onto the
chair. Allow to dry.
7. We sincerely wish you a comfy, cozy Holiday Season!! |

Instructions before you begin this project. Please email or call
with any questions you may have. mailto:create@heartlooms.com

Instructions:
1. Remove the Peel'n'Stick from the back of the
tree. To remove the Peel'n'Stick, lightly score the back with a
scissors. This allows you to get the PNS open and removed.
2. Place tree image onto the support stock (white matte piece
included) and detail trim. Keep in mind that even when you are
detail trimming, you want to stay out a ways from the edge of the
image. If you cut too closely to the edge of the design, it takes
away from the dimension of the image. With white velvet (ivory and
other light colors as well) we always place the image onto support
stock. If we would not, the blue of the background paper would
effect the white tree and it would basically be a light blue tree.
3. Layer decorative paper onto the main card.
4. Complete the inside of the card. You will find layering
papers for a signature card (blank white piece for your signature and then
the blue decorative paper).
5. We placed our tree completely flat onto the card (it is on support
stock at this time so you will use double stick tape or a glue for
layering). You may choose to pop dot it for added dimension.
6. Using a dries clear adhesive, glue the bows onto the tree.
Allow to dry.
7. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

CEX151 Cross/Wreath Card
Stamps by: Cross by M.M. Connections (?);
Sayings by SonLight
Supplies needed:
Double stick tape or glue (for layering)
Dries clear adhesive (for gluing wreath)
Pop Dots: 1/8 inch
|
|
Instructions:
1. There are many, many smaller layers to this
card. The layers on the outside of the card are for the front of the
card. The layers tucked inside the card are for the inside.
2. Find the white piece of cardstock that has "SS" in the
top corner. This is your Support Stock (thus, SS) piece for the cross.
3. Remove the Peel'n'Stick from the back of the cross. To remove the Peel'n'Stick, lightly score the back with a
scissors. This allows you to get the PNS open and removed.
Place cross onto the support stock and detail trim. Keep in mind that even when you are
detail trimming, you want to stay out a ways from the edge of the
image. If you cut too closely to the edge of the design, it takes
away from the dimension of the image. With white velvet (ivory and
other light colors as well) we always place the image onto support
stock. If we would not, the green of the background paper would
effect the white cross and it would basically be a light green
cross. Also, you are going to pop dot the cross up from the
cardstock. Pop Dots will not stick to the PNS. In addition, the
PNS does not give enough support to an image to be pop dotted.
4. Layer the green cardstock onto the main card.
5. Trim the sayings. There is a nice piece of white left over
from the one panel. Be sure to save that for your signature card.
6. Layer the saying layers together. Remember that the corners
are more for decorative use than for functional use. Be sure to place
double stick tape or glue onto the back of the corners. (There is an
extra one included in your package in case one of them won't open, or in
some reason is not functioning as well as the others do.)
7. Layer your sayings onto the main card, both inside and out.
8. Using pop dots, attach the cross to the main card.
9. Using dries clear adhesive, glue the wreath onto the cross.
Allow to dry.
10. Just a side note: Somewhere we picked up red wreaths already
made like these. We wanted green wreaths for this project. We
determined we could make them ourselves. So, these are made with 1/2
of a pipe cleaner wrapped twice in the circle. Then, using the dries
clear adhesive, glue on the bow and clip it with a clothes pin to dry.
It worked like a charm!!!
11. Have a blessed Christmas!!
