Double stick tape or glue
Dries clear adhesive
Pop Dots:  1/16, 1/8, 1/4

Instructions:

1.  Using chalk, color the background piece, bats,  and the headstone.  I started with pink, then purple, and two shades of blue (on the background).   Be sure to "fix"  the chalk with hairspray or some type of fixative spray.
2.  Layer the background piece onto the main card.  Using 1/16 Pop Dots, attach the headstone to the card.
3.  Attach the ghosts to the white cardstock and detail trim.
4.  Layer the large ghost onto the card with 1/8 Pop Dots.  Layer the other ghosts onto the card with 1/16 Pop Dots.
5.  Complete the inside of the card.
6.  Attach the bats to the card with either size of Pop Dots.  It is fun
to have varying dimensions with the use of the Pop Dots.
7.  Attach the orange heart to the large ghost and allow it to "set-up".  Attach  the black bow to the heart.  Attach the other bows and eyes to the ghosts.
8.  Attach the witch's hat to the ghost and allow to set-up.  Attach the
rhinestones to the hat and allow to dry.

CEX144  Candy Corn Card

Stamps by:  Candy Corn by Heartlooms (yea!);  Sayings by The Cottage Stamper and Darcies.

Supplies needed:

Double stick tape or glue (for gluing paper and cardstock layers)
Pop Dots:  1/8 and 1/16 inch

Instructions:

First of all, we have several new participants starting our Creative Express program with this card.  We were at a convention over the weekend and had several people sign-up as well as several winners of a month package.  We even had one wonderful husband purchase a program for his wife--that's my kind of guy!!

So, the instructions will be more detailed than usual for those of you that have been with us for awhile.  Also, for those of you that are new, you may wish to read over the instruction page you pick-up at the convention or go to:  Velvet Embossing Instructions for clarification with any questions.  Also, be sure to email or call if necessary:  mailto:create@heartlooms.com   (952) 946-8994.

1.  "Detail trim" (trimming to the shape of the image:  be sure not to trim right on the line.  Usually, we leave quite a bit of a border, but on this particular image, you will trim a little closer than normal) each section of each candy corn.
2.  Figure out how you wish to piece together your candy.  When you have your placement arranged, start assembling the pieces onto the included white support stock.  Remember to "slit" the back of the Peel'n'Stick to be able to remove it more easily.   ***There is an extra set of candy pieces in case you may need them.  If you don't use them on the outside, place a candy corn inside your card as well.
3.  After you have the candy corns assembled on the cardstock, cut around the outside image still leaving space around the lines.
4.  Layer on the white panel and decorative paper (outside) and the decorative panels to the inside of the main card. (We like to completely line the insides of our cards.  Whenever we do a CEX project and are not short on the decorative papers, we send the linings for you.)
5.  Layer on all your sayings. There are sayings in two different browns.  I used the lighter brown but you may prefer the darker.   If you have the extra candy corn, place it inside as well.
6.  Using the different sizes of pop dots, attach the candy corns onto the main card.
7.  I guess the instructions are not TOO detailed.  If you need clarification, please do let us know--thanks!
8.  We do hope your Halloween is a real treat!!

CEX145  Thanksgiving/Fall Wheat/Cross Card

Stamps by:  Wheat by Heartlooms;  Cross by Eureka!;  Sayings by Eureka!, Darcies, and Hero

Supplies needed:

Double stick tape or glue (for layering)
Pop Dots:  1/16 and 1/8 inch

Instructions:

1.  Place velvet images onto the support cardstock and detail trim.
2.  Layer the cardstock and decorative paper onto the main card.
3.  Complete the inside of the card.  If you choose to use the vellum paper over the sayings, be sure to trim both the vellum and the cardstock at the same time.  That guarantees that the papers will fit nicely together in the corners.  Remember that those corners are mainly decorative only and need to be secured with double stick tape.
4.  Place the vellum and the beige cardstock together.  Slip on the corners.  Remember that those corners are mainly decorative only and need to be secured with double stick tape.
5.  Using the 1/16 inch pop dots, attach the wheat to the main card.
6.  Using the 1/8 inch pop dots, attach the cross to the main card.
7.  Now, this may seem a bit weird.  Take the vellum paper out of the corners.  Turn it over so that the images face downward.  Place double stick tape on the vellum behind the images.  Then, put the vellum back into the corners and press the area with the double stick tape securely down onto the main card.
8.  Happy Thanksgiving!!

***Note:  Happy Thanksgiving and Autumn Greetings are both included for you.  To help you to decide if you wish to make this card as a Thanksgiving card or general Fall card, we wanted to tell you that next week's card is definitely Thanksgiving.***

CEX146  Acorn Thanksgiving/Fall Card

Stamps by:  Acorns by Posh Impressions;  Happy Thanksgiving by The Cottage Stamper;  Autumn Greetings by The Stamp Pad.

Supplies needed:

Double stick tape or glue (for gluing layers)
Pop Dots:  1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 inch

Measurements:

Main card:  7 x 10
Folds to 5 x 7
Decorative Panel:  4 3/4 x 6 3/4
Beige Panel:  3 x 6

Instructions:

First of all, we have several new participants starting our Creative Express program with this card.  (The winners of our drawing are actually starting with this card.  Surprise, surprise--I am behind).

1.  Mount each acorn onto the included support stock and "Detail trim" (trimming to the shape of the image:  be sure not to trim right on the line).
2.  Layer the decorative cardstock onto the main card.
3.  Layer the beige panel onto the main card.
4.  Decide upon your saying and layer onto the main card.
5.  Complete the inside of the card.  Layer the decorative panels to the inside of the main card. (We like to completely line the insides of our cards.  Whenever we do a CEX project and are not short on the decorative papers, we send the linings for you as well.  This gives a balanced weight to the cards.  If liner paper is included, there will be a "scrap" of paper included for a signature card).
6.  Arrange your acorns onto the main card.  When you are pleased with your arrangement, use the various sizes of pop dots to attach the acorns to the main card.   ****Pop Dots will NOT stick to velvet.  So, where your acorns are overlapping, you need to be sure that the pop dots are on the main card and not the velvet.  Many times, it is easier to place the pop dots onto the main card AND THEN place the image onto the pop dot.
7. Autumn Greetings or Happy Thanksgiving (well, technically, we wish you both!!)!!
