what is outside. It is cute that way.
3. Complete the inside of the card.
4. Using the 1/16 inch pop dots, attach the bear to the main card.
5. Using the 1/8 pop dots, attach the pumpkin to the main
card. You will need to put a dot of glue on the bear to keep the
pumpkin attached down.
6. Using the 1/8 pop dots, attach the hat to the main card.
Remember that pop dots do not stick to velvet.
7. Using the dries clear adhesive, glue the roses onto the hat.
FYI: You may be wondering where we found the orange velvet.
Well, this is quite exciting!! We discovered that we can dye the
velvet (as well as the orange roses on her hat) with Seta-silk Fabric
paint! The flowers on the following card were also dyed with this
ink. If you would like some true orange pumpkins for the season, let
us know!!

Instructions:
This is one of those projects that require you to do a
step and let it dry in advance of putting the card together. Then,
having to stop and do a step and let it dry before it can be
completed. So, let's get started!!
1. On a piece of wax paper, lay down a layer
of dries clear adhesive--several zig-zagged lines.
2. Start positioning the flowers with stems down into the
glue. I have the set of three leaves at the very bottom. Then,
put the other stems to the top. |
|

|
3. Top off the stems with more dries clear adhesive.
Allow to dry.
4. Also with the dries clear adhesive, place glue on the back of the
candy corn buttons. Place the copper wire into the glue and then put
onto cardstock. Allow to dry. (Can you see how they become
"kind of" floral picks??)
5. Place velvet image onto support stock and detail trim (this is
usually instruction #1).
6. Layer the black and purple panels onto the main card/frame.
7. Complete the inside of the card/frame.
8. When the glue is dry on the flowers, start peeling them off of
the wax paper. Mine came off in three sections--yours may be
different. Any way will be just fine.
9. Put a puddle of dries clear adhesive onto the mirror paper where
all the stems will come together just above the shoe opening.
10. Start placing your stems into the glue--I have the leaves on the
bottom. Be sure to check as you go along to make sure the stems will
be "in" the shoe (more or less anyway). You will need to
hold some in place to set.
11. When all the stems you wish to use are positioned, place puddles of
glue on the panel where you wish to have the larger flowers placed--these
flowers especially need to be held in place to set up.
12. Place glue on top of the stems and position the flower that is
at the opening of the shoe. Hold to set.
13. Using the 1/4 inch pop dots, position the shoe onto the
main card. Don't put pop dots at the top part since all the stems
will be in that position.
14. Trim the excess cardstock off of the candy corn button
picks. Position those into the display trimming off excess wire if
needed.
15. Using dries clear adhesive, glue the stars onto the shoe and the
spider to the one flower. Allow to dry.
16. If your mirror paper gets fingerprints on it, use a slightly
damp paper towel to wipe it clean.
17. When everything in the display is completely dry, attach that
panel to the main card/frame.
18. Fold the white support strip (picture 3) 1 3/4 inches from each
end. Attach to the main card/frame with double stick tape.
This is giving us major support.
19. Wow!! Eighteen instruction pieces!! It really,
really is not as hard as it must seem. It just takes various stages
to complete it!! Have fun!!

Picture 4: The view from the back!
I do not have an envelope or even appropriate box for how this project
worked out. If you want to mail it, you will have to mail it in a
box you hunt up yourself. It is so gorgeous, however, I think you
should keep it for yourself!!
For a project this detailed, if any instructional
element is unclear, please do let me know. |
