Velvet Applique
The velvet images work in just a dynamic way as appliqués!
There are two ways to create the appliqués. We can create temporary
or permanent appliqués.
You can create a whole scene!!
Temporary
Temporary appliqués are what we have been creating for quite awhile now. Temporary appliqué is extremely fun because you can take the images off, launder the shirt, and then put different images on. This is particularly fun when wearing a vest done in velvet. You can accent your shirt with the same image that is on the vest! Talk about being “put together”!! The images are embossed and placed onto Peel’n’Stick (exactly what we do for images on cards). You do your detail trimming like you do for the cards. Then, peel the backing off and place it on your shirt. Another fun outcome of this technique is that you can decorate your shirt in two minutes as you run out the door in the mornings!!
Permanent
You can also do “permanent appliqué”. Permanent appliqué is done by using a fusible web at the same time you do your initial embossing. Then, you can carefully iron it onto the garment for a permanent design. The velvet, of course, needs to be dry cleaned.
Or, you can create for a specific holiday!! (The rhinestones are
glued onto the shirt, so this is somewhat of a permanent design).
The velvet is removable so the shirt can be hand washed.
Or, you can highlight just the neckline of a shirt!
You can customize your clothing just for you!!
Keep in mind that the temporary appliqués are in the very same state as
the images we use for our cards, so you are not limited to placing these
just upon your clothing.

Velvet Appliqués are available for purchase. You can choose your designs from any we have on the site. Most of the time, they will be $1.00 each. The butterflies of Me and Carrie Lou's will be $2.00 each. The smaller ones will be two for $1.00. The size is at OUR discretion. Please email with your list for the exact amount. Also, you can choose your colors. There is a box on the second page of the ordering process in which you can enter the designs, color choices, and if you want your images to be temporary or permanent. If you have an extensive list, you can email the list separately and then just complete the order process for the quantity and dollar amount.
